ABOUT THE ROLE:

Zola is seeking an exceptional Senior Manager of Growth to join our team.  This role will serve as the primary business lead for various initiatives affecting topline growth of our business.  This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that bridges strategy, business operations, and product and is charged with helping achieve our ambitious market share goals.

As Senior Manager of Growth, you will determine, then drive, initiatives necessary to grow the Zola business, working in partnership with Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Tech. The main responsibilities of this role are conducting research and analysis that will help drive the business; driving and leading cross-functional projects; and contributing to the company’s market share growth. To be successful in this role, you must have the technical depth to build trust with our product and engineering teams, and the business depth to work closely with Zola executives and build successful relationships with partners.

This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Growth.



Job Description / Responsibilities:

  • Drive market share growth by:
    • Increasing the number of couples who sign up with Zola
    • Improving conversion throughout the customer funnel, from signing up to receiving gifts
    • Increasing LTV per couple
  • Lead cross-functional strategic projects to drive registry growth
    • Analyze where in the funnel couples are dropping off, and why
    • Build the business case for new features/initiatives/offerings, based on rigorous analysis
    • Partner closely with Product, Tech, and Marketing to execute on improvements and new initiatives
  • Serve as business owner for initiatives affecting the customer experience (couple & gift-giver)
    • Analyze and report on performance against KPIs; participate in annual planning and monthly reforecasting
    • Conduct business and financial analysis, transforming complex data into actionable insights and strategies
    • Identify bottlenecks, escalate risks, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs while building an outstanding customer experience
  • Work closely with the entire executive team to help make decisions and move projects forward


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 4-7 years of experience working in a fast-paced, analytical environment
    • Prior experience at a startup strongly preferred
  • Exceptional business and customer experience judgment
  • Creative, scrappy, and customer-obsessed
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; presents effectively to a senior audience
  • Excellent quantitative and Excel skills, with extensive experience translating complex data into clear communication and action plans
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment
  • Ability to build business relationships across functional teams and problem solve in situations with multiple stakeholders
